Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues.According to the World Health Organization,cancer is a leading cause of death and accounted for 7.6 million deaths (around 13 %of all deaths) in 2008.This number is expected to rise to 12 million by 2030.1 The increase in cancer deaths is signaling the pressing need for newer,even more effective diagnostics and therapies.
