线粒体是细胞代谢过程扮演重要角色的奇妙细胞器,同时也是一个半自主性细胞器.近年来的研究发现:线粒体是许多药物和毒物作用的靶细胞器,线粒体重新成为研究热点.有科学家用"mitochondria make come back"来概括这种现象.以线粒体为靶点的药物,是抗肿瘤药物的新发展方向.探究以线粒体为靶点的药物对线粒体功能影响,可以更好的理解药物对线粒体的作用机制,为药物分子设计提供重要参考.线粒体靶向抗肿瘤药物,如:和厚朴酚和桦木酸,能诱导线粒体发生基质肿胀、膜电势下降、膜渗透转换等过程.说明它们的抗肿瘤效果可能与通过线粒体途径诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡有关.
