Background As dual-axis rotational coronary angiography (DARCA) contains more gantry angulations than the standard coronary angiography (SA) contains, the incidence of different irradiated fields overlapping on the skin surface may increase, resulting in a higher peak skin dose (PSD) when using DARCA.The objective of this study was to evaluate the PSD received by the patient and scattered dose to the operator during the DARCA and compared to SA.
