Until recently systemic treatment for mRCC was limited to cytokine therapy.In this decade outstanding progress has been achieved with targeted agents, such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors and a monoclonal antibody to block VEGF pathway, and the inhibitors of mTOR pathway.These targeted agents are used widely for the first line and the second line therapy in mRCC, but still some issues are remained on the choice of agents and the efficacy of sequential combination of therapy as well as the best therapeutic method achieving complete remission without toxicity.Rhus verniciflua Stokes (RVS),lacquer tree has been traditionally used for the treatment of abdominal mass since 15 century in Korea.
