Objective: By establishing Gastro-esophageal reflux induced cough (GERC) model, investigate the functions change of central nuclei by perfusing HCL in distal esophagus of guinea pig.Methods: (1) Experiment animals and groups: Albino guinea pig (350 g-450 g) and divided into four groups: normal group (n=8), sham operated group (n=8), saline control group (n=8), model group (n=8).(2) The Establishment of GERC model: ①record frequency of cough in 20 minutes and latency period after evoking cough with 17.5% citric acid for 15s,frequency of cough and latency period.② perfuse 0.1mol/L HCL and 0.5% pepsin in distal esophagus of guinea pigs (8 drops/min, 20 min/day), for 14 consecutives days.The saline control group models were perfused with the same amount of saline, and the sham operated group insert the nasogastric tube only.③ record frequency of cough and latency period after 14days by evoking cough with 17.5% citric acid.
