  Antarctic krill is the most important key species in Antarctic marine ecosystems.It has been proved to contain abundant species diversity of symbiotic microbes and attractive bioactivity-producing potential.The discovery and utilization of new marine biological resource of symbiotic microbes living in extreme and unusual environments are attracting much greater attention.Previously, we had isolated hundreds of symbiotic microbe strains from captured Antarctic krill samples, and confirmed their bioactivity-producing potential through bioactivity screening analysis.The systematic isolation of the symbiotic microbe strains from Antarctic krill were performed continuously using the established sampling and on-spot isolation methods and conditions based on our previous results.Then, the species diversity of the symbiotic microbes and their distribution character among different Antarctic krills will be revealed by using molecular, microbial ecological and phylogenetic analysis.The bioactivity-producing potential will be evaluated by using the selected screening models based on molecular-targeted and biosynthesis genes analysis.The chemical structures of the new structural compounds and representative biosynthesis genes information in the symbiotic microbes were elucidated respectively by using medicinal chemistry and molecular biology analysis.And eventually their bioactivity-producing ability were revealed comprehensively.The study will provide important support for the discovery of lead compounds for new marine drugs and their biosynthesis genes from this new marine microbe resource, as well as will break a new path for the comprehensive utilization of the abundant resource of Antarctic krill.
