INTRODUCTION Aromatic polyimide(PI) fibers have a great potential application due to their good mechanical properties,thermal stability and excellent chemical resistance[1,2].Most polyimide fibers are fabricated by two-step method because of their poor solubility.Firstly,polyamic acid(PAA) fibers were synthesized.Then the PAA fibers were thermally or chemically treated into PI fibers.Definitely,the process of imidization is of great importance to influence the final mechanical properties of the PI fibers.
