The M.longissimus dorsi (LD) and M.biceps femoris (BF) of Wuzhumuqin sheeps which natural grazed,from 1 to 18 mo.of age,were employed in the study,and used the histochemical methods to analysis the changes of diameter of muscle fibers,intramuscular connective tissue and muscle fiber types during the growth of Wuzhumuqin sheep.Results showed that the diameter of muscle fibers were increased with growth of sheep,however it was decreased slightly at 12-month-aged in LD and BF.
