In this study,needle-array electrode was employed to generate a diffuse dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) under the application of VOCs removing from air.Both nanosecond pulse and sine AC high voltage were used to excite the discharge,and a comparison study of discharge images,electrical characteristics,optical emission spectra,etc.was carried on to investigate the discharge instability various as a function as discharge duration time.In DBD,low average charges accumulated on the dielectric surface can limit the discharge current intensity[1],which is the main mechanization for diffuse charge generation.
