　　CNT-based nanotubes or nanorods would be the key components in the next generation of functional materials for their distinctive physical, mechanical and chemical properties.In this paper, quasi atomic layer deposition method has been utilized to coat multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) core with Ti(TiC) shell from gaseous TiCl4/H2 precursor.The structure of the coating changed from Ti to TiC with the increase of the deposition temperature, going through a mixed phase.
