The mechanism of shock and noise in the process of electromagnet-spring system was emphatically analyzed in this paper.The relation of the suction characteristic of the electromagnet and the counterforce characteristic of the spring was studied.The operation and design method of the adjusting air-gap of the electromagnet were stated.At first,the mathematical model of the improved electromagnet was established with finite element method,secondly,the finite element result of normal electromagnet was compared with that of the improved structure,and the influence on the adjusting air-gap to the attractive force was analyzed.Based on the design method of the adjusting air-gap,the practical structure of the electromagnet which matches the spring characteristic was designed and improved.The operation of the electromagnet-spring system was improved,so the ratio between the attractive force of the electromagnet and the counterforce of the spring was fallen from 19.26(normal) to 2.71(improved),which distinctly reduced the shock and noise.
