Green food has been recognized in China with the need to ensure food safety,allowing restricted use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.There are few studies focusing on the environmental impacts associated with the production of the green food certified (GFC) products in China.In this study,life cycle assessment (LCA) was used to evaluate the environmental impacts of GFC cucumber and conventional (CON) cucumber cultivated in greenhouse,Beijing suburb,with the aim to identify hotspots to reduce environmental burdens of GFC cucumber cultivation.Results showed that the environmental index of GFC cucumber system was higher compared to conventional cucumber system.
