  Regional disparity is due to economic development,physical geography,and lifestyle.Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Jing-Jin-Ji) urban agglomeration is advocating integrated development,but its development is not so smooth.The goals of this research are to analyze embodied energy and carbon footprint flows among Jing-Jin-Ji agglomeration and other regions in China from two perspectives: first,treat Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei as a whole,and separate it from the Northern region defined according to the administrative division by Chinese government,then to trace the energy-carbon processes among Jing-Jin-Ji region and other seven regions;second,see Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei Province as three actors under the condition of the whole 30 provinces in China,to analyze each of the energy-carbon exchanges among Beijing,or Tianjin,or Hebei with other 29 provinces.Each perspective includes the energy-carbon exchanges through direct,indirect,and embodied processes from 2002,2007,and 2010.This analysis helps to compare the embodied energy-carbon exchanges results from two different perspectives and provide basis for Jing-Jin-Ji regions sustainable development.
