Chinese herb Toona sinensis was reported to be a functional food for enhancement of health in ancient books.However,the scientific data for its functionality is limited.In this study we investigated the antioxidative capacity of TSL including antioxidant enzymes (catalase,CAT,superoxide dismutase,SOD,glutathione peroxidase,GPx,and glutathione reductase,GR,glutathione S-transferase,GST),antioxidative indicators (glutathione,GSH and glutathione disulfide,GSSG),and lipid peroxidation indicator (MDA) in the liver and kidney of mice fed with extracts from TSL (TSL-2,TSL-2P,TSL-6) for 8 weeks.
