It is widely known that the characterization of interracial adhesion of coatings (films) is a great challenge for the researchers due to the unclearness of the loading andrmaterial conditions of interface cracking and coating spalling.For brittle coating overlaying ductile substrate,multiple cracking occurs normally during global loading conditions such as tensile strain or bending testing.In this case,the complexity of interface stress leads to the difficulty to evaluate interfacial adhesion.
