Objective:This paper discusses the application of "6 + 2 model of teaching" based on CBE theory in physiology class of higher vocational colleges in the aim of improving students' vocational abilities, professional qualities and competitiveness.Methods: 173 students of 4 classes, specialized in clinical medicine, from class of 2014 of Hunan Traditional Chinese Medical College are chosen as objects of study.The 4 classes are randomly divided into test group and control group with the former taught with "6 + 2 model of teaching" and the latter with traditional model, after which effect and evaluation of study are surveyed.Results: Students from the test group give positive feedback to "6 + 2 model of teaching" and the excellence rate of test group is apparently higher than that of the control group (P<0.01).The average score of test group is also higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: It can be seen that "6 + 2 model of teaching can significantly improve students' comprehensive abilities and hence is an effective way to achieve all-around development of knowledge, ability and aptitude in teaching.
