Rolled-up oxide microtubes have been fabricated both by wet etching and dry-releasing methods with a broad range of diameters(from 1 to 15 μμn),which therefore can tune their optical resonant modes. The efficient evanescent-field in such tubular optical microcavities with thin-wails enables strongly coupling of the attached dye emitters to optical modes.Whispering-gallery-modes(WGMs)also lead to cavity enhancement of Raman scattering, which is excited at relevant laser wavelengths, thus the tubular oxide microcavities can be applied to enhance the Raman scattering without importing noble metal.
