Reclamation land in Antaibao opencast mine is chosen as studying area.Main problem of landscape restoration in large open cast mining are analyzed,such as uneven subside,soil erosion and land barren.According to soil-forming theory and landscape ecology theory,brings forward reclamation land evaluation index including 8 index that is effective soil layer thickness,compose of soil body supercrust matter,vegetation index,vegetation type,landform slope,reclamation time,patch area,patch shape.IKNOS remote sensing image is chosen as information sources.According to object feature,such as significant vegetation type,growth status,physiognomy character and road,reclamation land evaluation cell is decided.Reclamation land patch in research area is used to vector by GIS through observing method,and carry out surveying in opencast mining and revise patch information according to survey information used GPS.Vegetation condition,compose of soil body super crust matter,cover thickness of soil,and year of reclamation of 496 patch in 5 dumping places of Antaibu is be surveyed.3S technology and fuzzy evaluation method are adopted to calculate reclamation land evaluation index (RLEI),and according to RLEI value,the reclamation land is consist to 6 grades together and divided 2 major types of suitable for agriculture and suitable for forest grass land,count and analyze the grade distribution condition in each dump place.Reclamation land evaluation index and calculation methods are presented in this research,which has actual significant to monitor and manage to large-scale reclamation land in mining area.
