Cholinergic neurotransmission plays an important role in learning,memory,coordination,behavior,sleep,motor activity,wakefulness,etc.Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is an essential component of the cholinergic synapse.It regulates cholinergic transmission by rapidly hydrolyzing the neurotransmitter,acetylcholine (ACh).
