物质点法(Material Point Method,MPM)是处理大变形情况下流固耦合问题的一种行之有效的方法.物质点法结合了拉格朗日方法和欧拉方法各自的优势.在物质点法中,历史相关的变量由质点携带,而运动方程则在规则背景网格上求解.背景网格每步都进行更新,从而避免了网格畸变所引起的数值困难.物质点法的问题之一是其始终质点积分计算结点力,结点速度只能达到一阶精度.2016 年Sulsky 和Gong 提出了一种基于移动最小二乘重构(Moving Least Squres,MLS)和高斯积分的物质点法改进方案(IMPM),使得物质点法可以达到二阶精度.
