The β-carbolines,containing planar tricyclic system,are a large group of synthestic and naturally occurring compounds that possess a large spectrum of important biological activity including anxiolytic,anti-inflammatory,sedative,antimicrobial,antiparasitic and antitumor activities.Bing Bai and co-workers have reported the synthesis and the preliminary biological result of C-1-substituted β-carboline derivatives [1].Herein,Nickel(Ⅱ)complex with 1-pyridine-6-methoxy-β-carboline were synthesized.
