Trifluoromethyl-containing aromatic compounds are important intermediate in drug synthesis,which can be used to synthesize a variety of drugs.Several reactions have been reported[1-2].Herein we report a new way that was catalyzed by the semi-azacrown ether chiral ligand[3] to obtain trifluoromethyl-containing aromatic compounds though the direct asymmetric aldol reaction[4] of methyl 3,3,3-trifluoropyruvate with acetophenone.Good yields and enantioselectivities were achieved for a variety of methyl 3,3,3-trifluoropyruvate and acetophenone.
