Introduction The bone strength is a most important economical traits for poultry production.It has been caused huge economic losses in poultry industry due to bone defects, osteoporosis and other bone diseases.Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) is an important factor in coupling bone remodeling, activating both formation and resorption.But compared with the many studies on the role of IGF-1 in bone formation, the effects of IGF-1 on bone resorption is limited and conflicting.
