PLLA grafted from microcrystalline cellulose proved to improve the thermoplastic properties of cellulose.The cellulose-g-PLLA with different content of cellulose can be synthesized by employing ring-opening route in a homogeneous solution in which 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride acted as the solvent.However, the effect of the cellulose content in the copolymer on the growth of cells has not been illuminated so far.
