  There is an increasing interest in the design and synthesis of novel inorganic nanostructures as photoelectrodes for efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting.[1] In this work,heterostructured TiO2 nanorods@nanobowl arrays consisting of rutile TiO2 nanorods grown on the inner surface of anatase TiO2 nanobowls were fabricated as a new type of photoanodes for water splitting.
