The chlor-alkali industry consume large amount of electricity.In order to save energy, the gas diffusion electrode has been developed to improve the conventional technique of chlor-alkali.Evaluation of the running life of the electrode and the explanation of the failure mechanism are significant to lengthen the service life of theelectrode, reduce the electrode cost and ensure the safe operation of electrolysis equipments.
