Polycations are widely used as chemical vectors to deliver nucleic acids.However,their clinical applications are limited owing to relatively low transfection efficacy,low stability in serum,and high cytotoxicity.As fluoroalkyl chains are amphiphilic,fluorination can improve the affinity of polymers to cell membrane and across the lipid bilayer,as well as the endosome/lysosome membrane.
