The safety education launched at university should be combined with life education, and the two should not be separated.Nowadays, unsafe factors in university campus are increasing gradually; college students life value concepts, safety awareness and safety subjective abilities are missing; university safety education is deficient, etc.All the reasons listed above are the primary causes for the launching of college safety education in China during the social transition period.The basic countermeasures to strengthen college safety education are as follows: to fully understand the important function of safety education in strengthening college students life value concepts, safety awareness and safety subjective abilities; to build a safety education system which combines life and safety knowledge teaching with the application practice teaching together; to rely on system construction to ensure the development and implement of safety education.
