applied the Immunofluorescence method to study the expression of the β 1 integin, α6 integin and keratin 19(ck19), which was the identification makers of stem cells, in the natural and regenerate body wall of sea cucumber, and compared with the results of histology.The results showed that ck19 express positively both in the control group and the experimental group.The number of positive expression cells and the location changed with the regeneration.β 1 integin and α6 integin were not expressed.So considered that the cells labeled by ck19 were the epidermal stem cells and the short-term expanded cells, which involved in the regeneration of epidermis of body wall.The mechanism of sea cucumber epidermis regeneration was the Epimorphosis.
