Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), also known as multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells, exist in most tissues and are a key cell source for tissue repair and regeneration.When tissue is damaged, these cells are mobilized to the site of injury.As tissue injury is often accompanied by inflammation, the recruited MSCs are subject to the influence of inflammatory factors and cells.
