Nanoporous gold (NPG) has attracted considerable interests over the past decades due to its wide applications in catalysis1,biosensing2,energy storage3,fuel cells4 and drug delivery5.Dealloying,a process utilizing selective dissolutions of more active metal components from gold alloys either from direct chemical reactions or from electrochemical reactions6,is the most widely used method to fabricate NPG from Ag-Au and other binary or ternary gold alloys.However,the yield and efficiency are limited by parting limit and the corrosion rate of active component elements.The parting limits of previously reported precursors are usually below 55 at %Au7 and their dealloy process generally cost several hours or longer.Thus,fabricating NPG by dealloying method in high yield,high efficiency and low cost is always highly desired.
