With the spatial data growing and being enriched,more and more users get spatial data through WMS services,which have reduced the efficiency of data access.It was estimated that 20% of data in WMS servers receives 80% of the requests from clients,so that spatial data cache has become an important means of improving the efficiency of WMS services and reducing the workload on servers.Three popular tile cache middleware,GeoWebCache,TileCache and MapProxy were analyzed,and the tile map,tiling strategies and cache replacement policies were discussed in this paper.It was evaluated that combining static and dynamic strategies is a better solution.And an improved cache replacement policy was suggested.In the end,the solution has been proved feasible and efficient in ChinaStar,and valuable for construction of a spatial data sharing platform.
