Background: The Thl7 pathway and the balance between Th17 and Treg cells as novel targets for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, have received increasing attention.Bawei Xileisan is a traditional Chinese medicine, which has been used for many years to clinically treat conditions associated with ulcerative colitis.However, the precise mechanisms behind its anti-inflammatory effects remain largely unknown.
