By utilizing a Ku band voltage-controlled oscillator HMC632,frequency multiplier AMMC5040,phase detector ADF4107 and operational amplifier,the design of a Ka band frequency source by using DDS driving PLL is reported.The test showed that within 30-31 GHz frequency range,the frequency hopping lock time is 2 us,spurious is smaller than-50 dBc,the phase noise is smaller than-70 dBc/Hz@10KHz,and the out-put power is greater than 11 dBm.
