Objective: Its a study of bone metastasis before operation on resection of esophageal carcinoma by the whole body bone scintigraphy with 99 Tc m-MDP.Methods: retrospective review the result of 1187 cases whole body bone scintigraphy of esophageal Carcinoma patient, Statistics analysis were performed using SPSS software.Results: In the 1187 cases esophageal carcinoma patient, discovered that the bone metastasis 185 cases, the bone metastasis formation rate is 15.6%; and the single shot 43.58%, 56.42% for multiple focus of bone metastasis; 57.2% patient have the acantha bone metastasis, 42.1% patient ribs, the breastbone and the lock have the bone metastasis, the incidence rate of bone metastasis in the pelvis, the limbs, the skull and others respectively are 22.7%, 19.4%, 10.8%; Performance of "the thermal region" occupies 95.5% in the radionuclice bone scan whole body of the bone metastasis, 12.8% bone metastasis to have "the cold sector" the performance.Conclusions:Preoperative patients with esophageal cancer have a higher incidence of bone metastasis, it is necessary to preoperative examination of whole body bone scintigraphy for diagnosis and treatment of esophageal carcinoma; prior to the features of the bone metastases of esophageal carcinoma is osteogenesis; Vertebra is the highest incidence of bone meta-stases of esophageal carcinoma.
