A new type of porous Pb-0.8%Ag anode in zinc electrowinning was prepared.In electrolyte of pure ZnSO4-H2SO4, the anodic polarization potential, corrosion rate were studied systematically and the electrochemical behavior and characteristics of porous anode are revealed.Additionally, the current efficiency and Mn2+ dilution were studied in the electrolyte of ZnSO4-MnSO4-H2SO4.The results show that the anodic oxygen evolution potential decreases first and then increases with the decrease of pore diameter.
