Background Generally the incidence of infection relate to cardiovascular intervention is low.However,stent-graft infection may result in life-threatening serious adverse outcomes to our patients after endovascular repair (EVAR).Whether the prophylactic antibiotics (PA) should be applied is still debated,as PA can be associated with allergic reactions, development of bacterial resistance, and increased costs of medical care.Post-implantation syndrome (PIS),which exhibits temperature and inflammation markers elevated, was supposed related to transient bacteremia. The benefit of prophylactic antibiotics application to the totally percutaneous EVAR in the catheterization laboratory in reducing stent-graft infection and PIS is lack of evaluation.
