Astract:Due to the growth of the Internet and the applications such as e-business upon,the demand for internationalized domain name (IDN) has been increased.Domain name system (DNS) is one of the most important infrastructure technologies.All Internet applications,such as those about the so-called URL/URI,tightly coupled with DNS function.Thus DNS serviceability is extremely critical to the whole Internet.This paper elaborates IDN design considerations,technologies and implementations from various perspectives.There are many operational elements has to be developed before making an IDN ready environment,such as IDN technologies,registration policies,IDN application handling processes.To pursue a globalization Internet,IDN implementation will be the first step to be accomplished.
