Northwest of Hunan is an important potential area of upper Yangtze Marine shale gas exploration,it is also one of the most important breakthroughs of shale gas exploration in Hunan Province,as this area is still in the initial stage of exploration,the related basic geological conditions of the shale gas accumulation is yet to be revealed.This is the very first time of successful delopment and exploration of Longjing Ⅱ within this shale gas area of Longshan in Northwest Hunan.Also,the work of driliing,logging and coring work were done concurrently.Based on the initial data of well core,logging,log and analysis,together with the field outcrop output,this study formed a systematic analysis and evaluation about the shale gas character of petrophysics and geochemistry of Longmaxi in Longshan area.The results showed that longmaxi formation shale in this research area is rich in brittle minerals,good physical properties,rich organic matter content,fine kerogen type and high thermal evolution and so on..The research results provide an important reference data and background for the underground and surface of shale gas exploration in Northwest of Hunan.Research confirms that the Longmaxi Formation have favorable basis geological conditions for shale gas accumulation,it also indicates good prospects for shale gas exploration of this area.
