Areolar incision is a widely used approach for gynecomastia surgery.The semicircular scar is not very conspicuous but may look artificial suggesting past breast surgery.In our hospital, after the patients are informed of the advantages and disadvantages of areolar and random (any site but not areola) incision approaches, they can select either approach.We here report the most popular approach among patients and the postoperative results of each approach.
