Rice yield is a complex quantitative trait influenced by multiple environmental factors and the interactions between many genes.To uncover the underlying complex molecular mechanisms of yield,we proposed a systematic method of predicting new trait associated genes with different genomic data and exploring the interactions between traits or genes with functional association network.Firstly,from literatures and databases,we collected 2,402 trait-gene relationships involving 1,632 known genes and 32 traits that have great influences on yield;we then identified 13,186 novel traitgene relationships and 6,857 new genes by the reclassification of six genome-scale datasets.
