Status of few layer graphene (FLG) applications in Li-ion batteries including 3C, energy storage, EV, and HEV is summarized.The challenges or limitations of graphene are identified to be not only long adoption of new technology, and also the property anisotropic nature (similar to carbon nanotube-CNT and graphite), and possibly blocking ionic conduction due to the 2D geometry.
