The MADS-box transcription factors are well known to be involved in many plant organ developments particularly seed,flower and fruit development.Large number of MADS-box genes were characterized and reported in major plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana (107),Oryza sativa (75),Zea mays (75) and Cucumis sativus (43).However there is no much information of MADS-box genes in economically and morphologically important genus Brassica.
