The elasticoluminescent materials have the phosphorescence and the intensity of the emitting light is decreasing gradually.In order to obtain the absolute value of stresses,the relationship between the stress and the light intensity should be given in consideration with the phosphorescence.In this study,the time dependence of the emitting light intensity from the epoxy reign specimen doped with the elasticoluminescent material (SrAl2O4∶Eu2+ powder) is measured under many uniaxial loading conditions.The relationship between the applied uniaxial tensile stress and the light intensity without phosphorescence component is given.The light intensity without phosphorescence component is increasing with increment of the uniaxial tensile stress.
