This study investigates the effects of Reishi polysaccharides (PSG) and immunomodulatory protein Ling-Zhi 8 (LZ8) on the patterns of cytokine expression by murine macrophages and T lymphocytes in vitro,to clarify their difference immune-regulating roles and related mechanisms.In macrophage experiments,LZ8 shows the capability to significantly enhance IL-12 production,and PSG increases the expression of TNF-α,IL-lbeta and iNOS mRNA,suggesting that LZ8 and PSG drive diverse differentiation and functions on the peritoneal macrophage cells.
