Nanostructured materials hold great promise for a range of electrocatalytic reactions and play important roles in solar fuel generation.In this presentation,I will briefly review the efforts of our research group on engineering nanomaterials for electrocatalysis within the last two years.In the first part,I will introduce our recent discovery of the traditionally unrecognized W2C is a more promising HER electrocatalyst than the more common WC.
