Efficacy and safety of low-dose peginterferon alpha-2a plus ribavirin on chronic hepatitis C

　　Purpose: For chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection,peginterferon alfa-2a (peg-IFN α-2a) is recommended to administer at a fixed 180μg/week dose together with weight-based ribavirin.Reduced doses of peg-IFN may increase compliance and decrease cost and adverse events.The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of low-dose peg-IFN α-2a plus ribavirin on chronic HCV.
