  We demonstrate an all-fiber displacement measurement system as well as a gluing concept for setting up fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor with high sensitivity.To show the dynamic measurement ability of the proposed system, active control of a smart cantilever beam with a surface-bonded piezoelectric actuator and the proposed pointwise-bonded FBG displacement sensor is investigated.The FBG filter-based demodulation technique is employed in our system.A non-contact laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) is employed to compare the transient measurement and control results measured by the FBG sensors to demonstrate the performances of the proposed FBG system.
