　　SLAP (superior labrum,anterior and posterior) lesions and biceps tendon disease (including long head of the biceps tendonitis,broken,subluxation) have been identified as a cause of instability and pain in the shoulder.With careful examination,improved imaging techniques,and arthroscopy,a specific diagnosis can be made.This review describes clinical features,mechanism of injury,physical examination,classification and associated lesions,normal and pathologic anatomy,as well as a treatment algorithm for SLAP lesions and biceps tendon disease.
