  The laser ablation behaviors and ablation mechanisms of 2D Cf/SiHfBCN composites prepared by PIP were investigated.Groups of 2D composites were exposed to laser beam in air at 1000W for different time.The surface morphology,chemical composition and ablation degree have been investigated in detail.Ablation mechanisms of the composite involved various factors such as oxidation and corrosion of silicon carbon,hafnium carbide and boride,oxidation and sublimation of carbon fibers.Furthermore,parallel tests were made on Cf/SiC to show whether the Cf/SiHfBCN possess better ablation resistance or not.
